Abercrombie & Kent Considerably Improves its Operational Efficiencies by Deploying Attunity’s Real-Time Data Integration PlatformAttunity’s real-time Data Integration helps A&K reduce the latency in its reporting, considerably reducing its batch windows and increasing system resource utilization.
Burlington, MA, December 05, 2005 — Attunity, Ltd. (NASDAQ: ATTU), a leading provider of strategic enterprise integration platforms for real time and on demand data integration, today announced that Abercrombie & Kent (A&K) has deployed its Attunity real-time Data Integration platform with Microsoft’s DTS to improve the timeliness of its reporting, eliminate its nightly batch processing and free up system resources to improve service levels to its customers.
Abercrombie & Kent, a luxury travel company based in Oak Brook, IL with 48 offices worldwide, needed to improve the timeliness of its financial reporting and provide accurate and up-to-date information on customer data, reservations and schedules. "We can now maintain our customer database and generate timely operational and financial reports immediately without having to wait for our nightly batch processing to complete. Attunity's real-time Integration Suite provides seamless integration between the SQL Server 2005 BI Suite and HP NonStop platform. It provides direct data access and fast and efficient change data capture, allowing companies to build reports and dashboards that access information on the NonStop. Affordable Africa

Affordable peak season adventure in South Africa $3899 covers a nine-day escorted tour with inclusions galore Book by: February 20, 2006 Travel by: March 31, 2006 — Updated: 12/28/05 at 6:44 AM EST
The Deal If you’re looking for an exotic getaway this winter, we recommend South Africa. Granted, this dazzling country is one of the priciest spots to visit in wintertime, but you can save a serious chunk of cash with a deal we found. General Tours is offering an incredible-value package for just $3899! This fully escorted adventure includes nine days in Cape Town and Kruger National Park, with six nights at comfortable hotels, airfare, meals and guided tours. If the price tag seems a little daunting, we’d like to inform you of the incredible savings you’ll enjoy if you leave by the end of March. April departures run up to $4249! Translated, that means you save $350 for a visit during the Southern Hemisphere’s beautiful summertime. Accommodation included is at three-star properties throughout. In Cape Town, you’ll spend three nights at Holiday Inn Cape Town Hotel, with an excellent location and more creature comforts than you’d expect of a chain property. This leg of the journey covers an aerial cable car ride to Table Mountain and a day trip to the unique seascapes of the Cape of Good Hope (with a cruise to Seal Island). Also covered is airfare to world-famous Kruger National Park and three nights at Bongani Mountain Lodge, where you’ll enjoy four game drives (or three drives and a bush walk – your choice!) and hopefully spot the “Big Five” (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhinoceros). Daily breakfast is also thrown in, as are two lunches and three dinners. But, most importantly, the special includes air from New York, DC, or Atlanta<7b>, and all on-tour transfers. We checked winter airfares from these three cities, and the lowest quote we got was $1130. Yes, you could arrange this trip independently and come to a similar price, but that’s without transfers and guided tours! And you certainly wouldn’t want to roam around Kruger by yourself, would you?
The Dollars The package price of $3899 is quoted per person based on double occupancy. It’s exclusive of air taxes and fees, but does include all detailed above.
The Catch Those encounters with the Big Five are not for the faint-hearted!
The Booking Details Visit www.generaltours.com or call 1-800-221-2216 and mention ShermansTravel. Once you´ve booked your trip, read our Perfect Trip: South Africa for more information on Cape Town and Kruger.

The Deal The sidewalks of Paris may be a little empty and cold now that winter officially started, but they’re also wonderfully affordable to visit. In fact, now is the ideal time to go if you want to save a bundle. Hotel prices in the City of Lights have plummeted to incredible lows! We’ve rounded up the crème de la crème of hotel offers out there, for every budget. Rates start at just $73/night for an overnight in bohemian Montmartre! Old World grandeur at Hotel Regina now reduced to just $267/ntLocated in the heart of the 1st Arrondissement, practically across the street from the Louvre, this splendid old place is described by Gayot.com as “one of the city’s most venerable luxury hotels, with immense rooms, precious furniture (Louis XVI, Directoire, Empire) . . . grandiose lobby . . .” The elegant guestrooms here come with an old-fashioned look and feel, as well as every deluxe amenity you may wish for. Some units even feature impressive views of the Louvre and the Eiffel Tower! Guests are treated to gourmet cuisine at Le Pluvinel Restaurant in an indoor garden setting; and the sophisticated atmosphere of the English Bar and Tearoom. Top-notch services are in place as well, from 24-hour room service to in-room massage. No wonder regular winter rates here start at $403/night. But you won’t have to cover this daunting price: The hotel is running a special offer for stays through February 24, with nightly rates starting at just $267, meaning that you save $136 every night you stay here! Value stay in a pricey area, at Burgundy Hotel, for just $174/ntThis Hotels.com offer is by far the best we found in the midrange category. Housed in a traditional 19th-century building, the hotel in question sits just steps away from Champs Elysées and Place de la Concorde. Frommer’s writes, “The Burgundy is one of the best values in this expensive area. The frequently renovated mansion began as two adjacent town houses in the 1830s, one a pension where Baudelaire wrote poetry in the 1860s, the other a bordello.” Apart from such an illustrious history, this cozy property also features 89 nicely done up units, each equipped with a full spectrum of in-room perks, including wireless Internet access even. The hotel’s rack rates normally run north of $250/night even in the winter months. All the more reason to book through Hotels.com – rates have plummeted to only $174/night! Cozy up at Comfort Inn Saint Pierre in Montmartre for only $73/nightIf you’re visiting Paris on a shoestring, this Expedia special is undoubtedly your best bet. At an incredible price of just $73, you can spend a night at Comfort Inn Saint Pierre at the heart of chic Montmartre. This pleasant townhouse hotel doesn’t feature much in terms of facilities but it does come with a string of pleasant guestrooms where the décor is contemporary, the furniture modern and the facilities of the expected two-star range. The highlight is its unbeatable location in one of the city’s most fashionable neighborhoods, steps away from many attractions. At this incredibly low price, you wouldn’t expect more, would you? Note that this low rate is only valid for stays through February 5.
The Dollars Add taxes and service charges to the prices quoted above.
The Catch It’s too cold to while away hours sipping café au lait in pavement cafes.

The lowest priced deal includes three-star lodging at beachfront Pyr Fuengirola Apartments in the town of Fuengirola, with capacious guestrooms and an outdoor swimming pool. For a swankier stay, pay just $40 extra at midrange Pyr Marbella Apartments in the chi-chi town of Marbella, where rooms come with private balconies. $789 gets you four nights at deluxe Atalaya Park Golf Hotel Resort, described by Frommer’s as a “modern resort complex” with a “tranquil beachside location…amid acres of subtropical gardens” and “spacious rooms furnished in elegant modern style”. All these packages reflect immense savings! A five-night stay at the Atalaya, for example, could run your bill to $810, before airfare. Swiss bliss in Geneva or Zurich now on sale from just $539We also found a pair of fantastic city breaks if you want a little Swiss bliss this winter. Granted, Switzerland is pretty cold this time of year but its cities just as stunning. Plus they’re incredibly cheap to visit with these Go-Today specials we scouted. Case in point: a four-nighter in lakeside Geneva, home to the UN, is now priced as low as $539, with air and daily breakfast in the mix. The price, good through March 25, covers a stay at intimate Drake-Longchamp Hotel, right by the lake and Geneva’s scenic parks. You can upgrade to more upscale lodging at low additional cost, such as $819 for accommodation at plush Hotel Bristol. Go-Today also offers an urban fling in cosmopolitan Zurich for $569, inclusive of a three-night hotel stay, air and breakfast. This price covers a stay at charming Minotel Coronado, a small but refined little place with a convenient city location. For a four-star stay at riverside Zurich Marriott, the cost rises to $819. Note that this package begins at $879 in summer months, so you’re saving a real bundle if you bundle up and go now! Germany at leisure this winter on a nine-night trip for just $699Want to take a gander at Germany in wintertime? We suggest you look to the super-cheap special just released by EuropeASAP. Priced at only $699, this deal must be booked by January 19 but is valid for departures through March 12. The slew of inclusions saves you a serious chunk of cash. In addition to airfare from New York to Munich and back from Frankfurt, it covers three nights’ lodging in the Bavarian capital, at a comfy midrange hotel with breakfast thrown in. But, most importantly, this 11-day deal includes a seven-day car rental with unlimited mileage. While this week includes no lodging (after the first three nights), it does get you a unique chance to explore Germany at your leisure. You can take in the many wonders of this scenic European gem, but we particularly recommend a drive through the Bavarian Alps, the Black Forest area and the scenic Rhine Valley. For urban charms, head to the edgy capital of Berlin, or say hi to Heidelberg, Germany’s oldest university town. With these highlights in mind, book this irresistible jaunt and hit the road.
The Dollars See details above, and add air taxes and fees to the prices quoted above.
The Catch The prices are ideal, but the weather less so.

Hyatt Santiago

Grand Hyatt Santiago opened today following an almost $10 million renovation and re-branding. Formerly Hyatt Regency Santiago, Hyatt International’s flagship property in South America (opened 1992), Grand Hyatt Santiago brings a fresh and modern look to a city that has evolved into a major cultural, business, and political destination. In addition to renovating all guestrooms, public spaces, and grounds, Grand Hyatt Santiago’s brand-new additions include Spa AKO and Senso, an Italian restaurant.

The 310-room “urban resort” enjoys a prime location in the exclusive residential Las Condes neighborhood. Set in 279,862 square-feet of lush acreage, the resort is a calm oasis in the heart ofSantiago, and boasts stunning views of the Andes Mountains. Located just 20 minutes from the airport and 15 minutes from downtown, the hotel is also just an hour’s drive from ski resorts and beaches along the coast. Rates begin at US $ 145. For more information, please visit http://www.santiago.hyatt.com/

The Lobby

With its dramatic 24 -story glass-domed Atrium, the sunlit lobby sets the stage for a “Grand” experience. Other remarkable features include unobstructed views of the meticulously manicured gardens as well as the 10,000 square-foot freeform pool.

Guestrooms and Suites

The hotel’s 249 split-level guestrooms are the largest accommodations in the city. Each has approximately 560 square feet of space, and is decorated in soft, neutral colors to create an aura of calm and comfort. Natural leather headboards, wood furnishings from Argentina, and “suede” curtains add to the contemporary and residential feel. Beds feature goose down duvets and pillows, and 320-thread count cotton striped sateen covers. Each room is equipped with a Bang & Olufsen television, a Yamaha stereo with CD player, 10 MB broadband access, three telephones and one cordless, self-adjusting power converter .

The 23 suites are decorated in the same elegant, contemporary design; twelve of them offer outdoor terraces. Suites range in size from 800 square feet to the stunning 24,000 square-foot Presidential Suite on the 19th floor.

Restaurants and Bars

Grand Hyatt Santiago offers an array of fine dining experiences. The newly-opened Senso restaurant has already received critical acclaim and offers Santiago’s only cuisine (and chef, Roberto Illari) from the Emilia Romagno region of Italy. Located off the lobby with an outside terrace, Senso has two wine caves-- one with a wide selection of Chilean wines and the other with the most extensive Italian wine list in Chile. Senso has wonderful views of the hotel gardens and waterfall.

The revitalized Matsuri and Anakena restaurants, offering Japanese and Thai cuisine, respectively, have some of the freshest and most authentic dishes outside of Japan and Thailand. Matsuri features a Sushi and Sashimi Bar, Teppanyaki tables, and two private Tatami rooms. Anakena specializes in fresh fish, seafood, and meats prepared continental, grilled, or Thai style. The chef tends his own herb garden that grows Asian and specialty herbs not found elsewhere in Latin America.

There are also several outdoor dining terraces.

Spa

The free-standing three-level AKO Spa includes five self-contained treatment suites and a state-of-the-art fitness center. Fully equipped changing and shower facilities as well as both male and female saunas are on the lower level. There are over 30 different treatments available, ranging from facial and Swedish massages to the more extravagant chocolate therapies. Aerobic and yoga classes are offered regularly.

The hotel’s 10, 000 square foot outdoor pool is dramatically set, complete with a waterfall. Also on the grounds is a children’s playground, and two outdoor tennis courts.

Hyatt Grand Aspen

With a prime location, nestled at the base of Aspen Mountain, one block from the gondola, Hyatt Grand Aspen Resort opened December 17, 2005 as the first purpose-built luxury fractional ownership opportunity in downtown Aspen. Every room in the project has been designed with luxury buyers and their needs in mind.

The property has been designed to blend into the historic context of the town of Aspen offering 50 units from one to four bedroom suites, featuring 33 unique floor plans.

Hyatt Grand Aspen has been the fastest selling property in the history of Hyatt Vacation Ownership,” said John Burlingame, executive vice president of Hyatt Vacation Ownership Inc.(HVOI). “We have an unbeatable location and are thrilled with the high quality of the property. We are looking forward to being a part of such a vibrant community.”

The quality and luxury of the physical property as well as the level of service provided is indicative of what guests find at the finest Hyatt properties around the world. Each unit boasts an elegant mountain style with stone entryways, marble and granite finishes, multiple fireplaces, gourmet kitchens with premium appliances, spa tubs and steam showers. Common space amenities include a heated outdoor swimming pool with a year-round heated deck, outdoor hot tubs and a fitness center overlooking the pool.

Designer Tracy Egolf has taken mountain elegance to a new height of luxury, using soft, warm fabrics in rich jewel tones juxtaposed against comfortable leather furniture. The residences bring the best of the outdoors inside, with planked solid oak floors, grand stone entryways, and just the right amount of rough-hewn timber accents. Multiple fireplaces offer cozy gathering spots. Gourmet kitchens feature Viking appliances, wine refrigerators, slab granite countertops, and plenty of space for the most seasoned chefs. The units are spacious and comfortable, ranging from 912 sq. ft to 3450 sq. ft.

Private spaces offer the same high level of luxurious appointments. Italian all-cotton linens provide cozy elegance, while each master bath features a 15” flat screen television, and various combinations of the following luxury items: steam shower, jetted tub, deep soaking tub, or multiple jetted shower.

Owners and visitors alike can also take pleasure in the high level of service they have come to associate with the Hyatt brand. Twice-daily housekeeping service as well as ski and bike valets are available at the property. Upon arrival, owners will find their kitchen fully stocked, and all their reservations handled in advance. Tables at the hottest restaurants, babysitting services, spa appointments and arrangements for favorite ski instructors can all be pre-booked through Hyatt Grand Aspen's full-time, on-site concierge.

A cozy wine bar, adjacent to the lobby, serves over 35 wines by the glass and a small plates tasting menu. The lounge area features two fireplaces and comfortable seating areas for Hyatt owners and visitors to the property.

Hyatt owners buy specific weeks and specific residences unlike most fractionals selling rotating schedules and lottery systems. Owners can purchase Christmas, New Years, or President’s Week and will be guaranteed that week, and their unit, each and every year. Units are sold in 1/20th fractions opening the market up to visitors who are interested in Aspen, but not necessarily in the typical time and financial commitments required with many of the luxury fractional projects currently available. Owners buy a specific week and residence and then have the ability to select an additional 10 days during the unsold 32 weeks of the year. In addition, ownership at The Hyatt Grand Aspen offers the flexibility of exchanging time in any other Hyatt Vacation Club (HVC) or Hyatt Hotels around the world.

HVOI currently has vacation ownership properties in Carmel, California; Beaver Creek, Colorado; Breckenridge, Colorado; Lake Tahoe, Nevada; Sedona, Arizona; San Antonio, Texas; Bonita Springs, Florida (Naples Coast); Dorado, Puerto Rico and Key West, Florida. New Denver Luxury Hotel -- Hyatt

Hyatt opened its 216th hotel in the heart of downtown Denver on December 20, 2005. The 1,100-room Hyatt Regency Denver at Colorado Convention Center is the largest hotel built under the Hyatt name in more than two decades. The opening of the new 37-story hotel will help position Denver into one of the country’s top convention destinations.

Denver and the Colorado Rocky Mountains have long been a favored destination for leisure travelers, but with the recent expansion of the Colorado Convention Center, and now the grand opening of Hyatt Regency Denver, we expect Denver to quickly become a favorite location for conventions and meetings from around the world,” says Bill Mosher, chief executive officer of the Denver Convention Center Hotel Authority, owners of the new Hyatt Regency Denver.

As the only hotel adjacent to the Colorado Convention Center, Hyatt Regency Denver is in a prime location to accommodate convention guests. The hotel brings an additional 60,600 square feet of meeting space to the Denver area, including two large ballrooms. The 30,000 square foot Centennial Ballroom is the largest in the state of Colorado and can seat up to 2,500 guests or be broken out into smaller events. Equipped with state-of-the-art technology and a 30-foot high open ceiling with glass light fixtures in the shape of mountain peaks, the space gives meeting planners and production companies the ability to suspend audio visual equipment, opening up room for additional seating or exhibit space. The second ballroom is the 14,000 square foot Capital Ballroom and features a 22-foot high open ceiling with elegant Italian hand-blown glass light fixtures.

While a majority of hotels house their meeting space below ground, all of Hyatt Regency Denver’s meeting space is located on the third and fourth floors, providing guests views of the Rocky Mountains and the Colorado Convention Center through the floor-to-ceiling windows. The hotel’s smaller meeting rooms are designed to provide maximum flexibility. Movable air walls can be manipulated to accommodate large meetings and then be repositioned for small break out groups. Other amenities include an infrared hearing impaired system, LCD displays outside each meeting room, electronic signage in common areas, high speed wired and wireless Internet access, video conferencing capabilities, electronic locks and a mechanically operated Mecco Shade system with blackout capability. Hyatt Regency’s boardrooms are equipped with flat screen televisions, electronic overhead screens and built-in phone and data hook ups.

"Hyatt Regency Denver offers travelers the perfect blend of functionality, luxury and comfort," says John Schafer, general manager, Hyatt Regency Denver at Colorado Convention Center. "As with all Hyatt properties, our guests can expect a full array of amenities and exceptional service. Couple that with all Denver has to offer, including its mild climate and wide array of cultural, sports and entertainment activities, and I am confident we will deliver a superior guest experience to both business and leisure travelers."

The $285 million hotel is the first downtown Denver high-rise built in 25 years. The top of the hotel features a 10-story beacon of light that will become a landmark on the city’s skyline. The hotel’s convenient downtown location offers easy access to Denver’s burgeoning nightlife and restaurant scene. Dining options for guests who choose to stay on-site include the 300-seat Altitude restaurant, which can be adapted for smaller, more intimate affairs; Strata Bar, which showcases an extensive collection of Colorado minerals; Peaks Rooftop Lounge with one of the best views in the city; Perks Coffee Bar and room service, both of which are available 24-hours a day.

Keeping with Hyatt’s trendsetting approach to designing and operating hotels that embody the ambiance of the city in which it operates in, the new Hyatt Regency Denver design reflects an urban

downtown feel while incorporating elements of the Colorado outdoors. “The hotel gives guests a glimpse into the beauty of Colorado’s plains and mountains,” says Schafer. Generous use of natural stone, warm colors and natural light throughout the hotel, along with the extensive use of LCD screens displaying images of the Colorado landscape, and $2.5 million of original art including six bronze climbers scaling a 35-foot limestone wall, further achieves the goal of bringing the outdoors inside.

The hotel offers cutting-edge technology, while freeing up time for the staff to focus on providing hands-on personal service. Marking a first for the Hyatt brand, Hyatt Regency Denver features electronic kiosks in the front desk that are designed to ease check in and check out during busy convention registration times or for hotel guests with tight travel deadlines. The hotel also has several mobile kiosks that can be positioned near a meeting room or a restaurant to make it easier for large events to check their guests in or out. In the near future, the kiosks will be able to print an airline boarding pass for guests checking out and will soon offer guests the option of checking in via the Internet or personal digital assistant. Hyatt Regency Denver also offers high speed Internet access throughout the hotel, including wireless access from the hotel’s public spaces, and a full service FedEx Kinko’s business center.

Guests can select from 72 suites, including hospitality suites with outdoor terraces. Each room features signature Grand Beds® with down blankets and pillows, flat-screen televisions with cable movie channels, in-room pay per-view movies, video messaging and account review and check out, operable picture windows, wired and wireless Internet access, mobile work desk and ergonomically designed desk chairs. Many of the rooms provide guests with unobstructed, panoramic mountain views. The hotel also features a 6,700 square foot health club with over 100 pieces of cardio and fitness equipment, a 50-foot indoor lap pool, a sauna, a steam room and a sun deck.

“Denver is one of the country’s best kept secrets when it comes to convention business,” says David Gauthier, director of sales and marketing, Hyatt Regency Denver at Colorado Convention

Center. “As I talk with people from around the country about our new hotel and tell them about all Denver has to offer, many are surprised to learn that the city has more than 300 sunny days a year, more than Honolulu, Miami or San Diego. It’s our goal to get them here so they can see for themselves that Denver truly has arrived as a top tier convention city.”

Hyatt Regency Denver currently is accepting reservations for events and parties. To date, more than $102 million in group room sales have been booked.

Independence may need some Assistance!

Flyi Inc, the parent company of Independence Air, will cease operating Jan. 7 if it is unable to find a major investor or buyer, the airline said in a letter received by its employees this week.

In the letter to its unionized workers, including pilots, flight attendants and mechanics, the Dulles-based airline said that without "significant external investment," it would stop flying in 10 days and lay off workers at all of its locations from Jan. 7 to Jan. 21.

Flyi filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in November. At that time, the financially struggling carrier said it was searching for a major investor, and absent that would sell off its assets.

Smoking No Way Baby at Westin

Westin Hotels announced that effective Jan 1, 2006 no smoking will be the rule at all of their hotels! Clean air and no stale odors!Westin hotels ban smoking
By Kitty Bean Yancey, USA TODAY
The new year will ring in the USA's first smoke-free major hotel chain. (Video: Smoke-free hotels)

Westin notes 92% of guests request non-smoking rooms. Its Ft. Lauderdale hotel, among others, will be ready.

Westin Hotels & Resorts will announce today that it is snuffing out smoking in all rooms, restaurants, bars and public areas at its 77 U.S., Canadian and Caribbean properties starting in January. Guests may smoke only on balconies or in other outdoor areas.

The policy reflects "a demand from guests for a smoke-free hotel experience," says Sue Brush, Westin senior vice president. "Nobody likes to walk into a smoky guest room — not even smokers." Westin research shows that 92% of its guests request a non-smoking room.

The no-smoking trend — evident in the growing number of city and state ordinances banning tobacco use in workplaces, bars and restaurants — is prompting more hotels to go smoke-free:

• Six Westins currently forbid smoking.

• About 80% of the 28 lodgings in California's Joie de Vivre boutique-hotel chain now are smoke-free.

• The five properties in California's Woodside Hotels & Resorts group, including the Napa Valley Lodge, have banned smoking since 2000.

In 2004, the Topaz Hotel in Washington, D.C., became the first lodging in the Kimpton chain to try no-smoking-only rooms. (Smoking is allowed in the bar.)

The number of smokers who gripe when put in a non-smoking room is "small compared to the number of people who were complaining about being put in a smoking room" when the hotel was fully booked, says Topaz general manager David Hill. "It's a huge weight off the shoulders of our (customer) service staff. I will never go back."

No-smoking rooms also need less cleaning and repair of burned furnishings. To prepare for the new era, Westin's 2,400 U.S., Canadian and Caribbean smoking rooms will be deep-cleaned and get new air filters.

For a big chain to make such a major policy shift is "very cutting-edge," American Hotel & Lodging Association President Joseph McInerney said in a statement. "The industry is sure to take notice."

Culinary Experience at Sea

Beginning January 15, 2006 anyone can indulge in a one-of-a-kind culinary experience at sea with our third annual Savor the Caribbean cruise series. The cruise is sponsored by Kitchen Aid appliances and we choose from five, 7-night Caribbean cruises. All of the cruises will be departing from Ft. Lauderdale, FL (southern Florida's easy access airport) and each gives you a mouthwatering taste of the islands. During our sailing we will have time to experience the beauty of the Caribbean and also onboard demonstrations and culinary lectures by acclaimed chefs. Regional rum tastings sponsored by Bacardi and tours to gastronomic treasures at exotic ports of call, including San Juan, St. Thomas, Nassau, and South Florida are amongst the activities we love. If you would like you also can come join us aboard Infinity®, ranked among the top 10 ships in Condé Nast Traveler’s annual “Best Cruise Ships in the World” survey of 2005, and bring your appetite for the finer things in life.

We have pacled a lot into our trip --On Departure we will set the tone for fun and relaxation by enjoying a Bacardi Mojito Sailaway Party as we will depart Ft. Lauderdale in the afternoon. Some of our friends set other tones by chasing alligators the day before on a pre tour of the Everglades National Park. Through our Featured Chef we will learn the tips and tricks for creating beautiful and delectable dishes in your the first cooking demo. Since we have planned out our itinerary the Featured Chef will make time in the morning for your second cooking demo before the ship arrives in port. Then we will return to the ship for a late night Caribbean themed party hosted by Bacardi. During the cruise there will be four private shore excursions:

I. Savor Excursion - Pikayo Restaurant and the Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico: Enjoy a feast of art and food at the renowned Pikayo restaurant, rated the best museum restaurant in the world, located in the contemporary Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico. Spa Villas aboard Disney Cruise Line

Spa Villas on Disney Cruise Line® Posted December 2005
The Disney Magic has undergone a Magical Makeover! The improvements Disney has made to the public areas of the ship will enhance the cruise experience for guests of all ages! Adults will find a host of innovations in the upgraded spa and the fitness center, so if your spouse is questioning whether a Disney Cruise Line Vacation is right for them, consider the following... Last month, Disney Cruise Line introduced a cruise industry first with Spa Villas. At the spa, guests will find three specifically designed villas - complete with an indoor spa treatment suite which is connected to a private outdoor verandah with personal hot tub, open air shower and luxurious chaise lounge. With incredible ocean vistas and warm tropical breezes, the new treatment suites provide guests with a romantic getaway into a tranquil oasis without ever leaving the ship. The spa villas offer a variety of treatments -- for individuals or couples -- and guests will have ample time rest and relax on the outdoor verandah. Treatments range from a 105-minute individual Swedish massage treatment to the ultra soothing 150-minute Ultimate Indulgence treatment for couples. As part of the Vista Spa expansion, the fitness area doubled in size, providing space for more exercise equipment, an area for spinning classes and a couple of private salons for Pilates instruction and one-on-one beauty and fitness consultations. The Vista Spa and Salon is an area reserved exclusively for adults aboard the Disney Magic. The expansion adds an additional 1,700-square feet to the fitness center, bringing the total size of the Vista Spa to 10,700-square feet. Please keep in mind that these improvements have only been made to the Disney Magic. The Disney Wonder is scheduled to go into dry dock in October of 2006 and in the past changes to the Disney Magic have followed on the Disney Wonder.

Pirates IN the Caribbean on Disney Cruise Line®Posted September 2005
The Disney Magic & Disney Wonder are probably the first ships in history to encourage passengers to take part in piracy.Guests on Disney Cruise Line experiencing “Pirates IN the Caribbean” festivities have given it rave reviews. On Pirate Night the food, fun and festivities all have a swashbuckling swing to them. Many guests choose to join the Cast, Characters and Crew in dressing as pirates for the occasion, so you might consider packing your eye patch and wooden leg.

Paying for Your Seat on an Airplane!

THE STAR ALLIANCE signed contracts with G2 SwitchWorks and ITA Software to make them Star's preferred alternative GDS vendors. Under the umbrella deal, Star's 16 member carriers will enter into detailed discussions with the providers to build "tailor-made solutions" for their requirements, the alliance said. Horst Findeisen, Star's vice president, commercial, said he expects the first individual airline agreements to be signed within months. The alliance said the new distribution technologies will first be implemented for points of sale in North America but should be implemented for Asia and Europe within the next 18 months. As for new functionalities and choices, Findeisen said one possibility is prepaid seat selection, in which carriers could charge different prices for middle, aisle and window seats. Another possibility, he said, is an identifier to describe how far a seat reclines, including whether it lies flat, perhaps with a link to a photo. This should make travel interesting for both business and leisure travelers -- imaging "An aisle bulkhead" that will be an additional surcharge of $$$$ -- You prefer exit row well for that extra leg room we will need to charge a surcharge. Seat Guru is a great tool for finding a seat!
